March 12, 2008 Jacki/Kathy, Hi Kathy and Company!
I am forwarding a picture of my new seat which Tim Heart did for me. Originally, this was the stock seat from my 2006 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob. I did not like the stock seat for a number of reasons and almost immediately bought another which was only a little better. This seat sat in my garage for over two years while I looked for the right person to re-vamp it. It needed to make me lower to the ground, push me forward, be stylish and be comfortable. It is all of those things now! I have put over 500 miles on it in the last few weeks and love being able to reach my highway pegs. Tim also made the seat a little deeper and put in some comfortable memory foam which really makes a difference on those longer rides. When people now ask me about my seat, I tell them "I found Tim in a lady motorcycle shop!" After all, who would know better how to make a seat fit a vertically challenged person such as myself. Thank you again for the wonderful work, fast service and very reasonable price! Deborah Speicher Tampa, Florida

May 4, 2008 Hello Kathleen, My name is Octavia and I met you and your lovely staff at your lovely store this past Thursday, and was impressed with what I saw. Its really nice to see a sisterhood of women catering for the female biker. I wish you every success with ROAR and will look forward to meeting you Ride Safe and bright blessings to you all, Octavia Cheetham Hi,
Patti Hypes July 18, 2008 Everyone has been so gracious and extremely helpful! I do feel like family. Aaron, thank you for the great pix. I can't wait to ride my new girl. I love her! Thanks again,
Hi Kathy! Hope all is well. I love my Black Diamond. We rode to Cedar Key Sat. with friends and spent the night. What a difference in comfort riding compared to the Sportster. I’m so happy with the bike and everyone compliments how beautiful she is. Of course I tell them it is a Roar bike! Stacey Hendren
... Also we are going to Disney 10/5 - 10/11, and I want to take a ride over to stop in the shop again. See what else you all have for merchandise. Thanks again I am sooo glad we were wandering and found Roar, I love the bike. Stay safe in that nasty weather!! Jacki! Thank you!!!! I just got off my Road King after my 5500 mile pilgrimage to the Harley 105th! Yes, I rode my own from Oregon to Milwaukee...and home. I took with me 3 small samples of the Windblown detangler....here's what I learned....I can live without clean jeans, bras and socks but I cannot live without that product!! I am completely sold but totally bummed....I can't order it online from you yet!!! Can you help out a lady rider and help me out!! Kerrie Sanders
September 9, 2008 -- KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB WITH ROAR MOTORCYCLES! I am the LOH Director for our Chapter but encourage women to ride. It doesn't matter WHAT you ride -- only that you ride. I show your website and bikes to countless women any chance i get! I cannot wait to see the Ugly Betty winner Thank you for all you do!! Kerrie Sanders The first moment I sat on a ROAR bike, the differences from other stock bikes were immediately apparent. The handlebars were comfortable, my feet easily touched the ground, the seat felt as if it were made just for me, and the bike itself was easily manageable. After a year of shopping, no other bike had met all of these criteria for my 5’2” frame. All that was left to do was pick a bike, then I discovered that I could design my own custom bike. The staff at ROAR helped me create The Black Widow, a one of a kind bike fashioned from the theme of my favorite jacket. Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing some more of the United States via our motorcycles!! Betty Boop To everyone at Roar, Sincerely, P.S. How do you like the name "Lil Roar"? Hi all~ I just came home from the show here in Massachusetts, and while I was there I got to see your bikes at your booth and they blew my mind. I bought my first Harley last spring and one of the girls at the shop told me about your bikes and your story. Since then I have been following you on your web site and find myself drooling over your bikes. However, I never thought I would be able to even see any of the ROAR bikes.. mainly because of living up in New England and never getting to go down south. One of the bikes I fell in love with was the "Monarch" and wouldn't you know you would have it at the show! I sat on it and MAN was it comfy!! What a gorgeous bike!!! I truly wish that I had known about your site before I bought my bike. I did do quit a bit of chatting with your staff, and my the way they were the best!!! I am so glad that you are now going to be in New England, so whenever you get things going up here I will bring my bike down there so I can have you all fit it to me. I love the ride… it’s just that it needs something to make it comfy I guess. I felt the difference right away on the seat on the "Monarch" when I sat on it, wished it would have fit my Dyna...I might have tried to take it with me hahahaha. I did get a couple of shirts to wear and spread the news. Anyway, I couldn't wait to get home and jot out an email to you guys and tell you that seeing your booth, meeting your staff and of course finally seeing your bikes in person was the highlight of my day. Thanks again
Oct 14, 2010 please tell fast Eddie i loved the seat work. it was an enjoyable 5 hr ride. the first time i haven't had to eat a hand full of ibuprofen or take a muscle relaxer. hope to see you next month.- Terana Clark
Oct 20, 2010 at owned it before me was just my size. I've never felt so comfortable on a bike before. Thank you, thank you, thank you.March 18, 2011 Kathy, Jacki, Joan, We made it home!!! It was a beautiful ride home on the most beautiful bike ever. Thank you all for building me this bike and most of all for providing the best bike for ME!!! I was still a little timid when I tried to do things my old Harley made difficult for me. Even just stopping at a red light, that most people take for granted, is no longer such a hassle. The bike fits me and no one but you guys will ever know how much that means. Fern, You are a wonderful artist. The paint is absolutely amazing, it makes the bike a work of art and on my first ride I have already had people ask about the bike and the paint. I love what you all do and most of all how you make me feel. The confidence will come back and hopefully a great biker attitude will take its place. We will be in touch to discuss the LLC program and to ride. Don’t forget to put me in touch with the lady from St. Petersburg. You guys are the best, Kellie Dear Roar, Joan, if this message is going to you first....thank you for all your help with the bike I purchased from one of your customers. Please pass my thanks also to Ashley, Ed, and his wife...(can't remember her name darn it!) who helped me load the bike onto my truck. Anyway, it was a great day and I made it back to Miami with the dear old thing and have started to work on her. She is all there but really rough....kinda like me! Anyway, after I took all the bags and windscreen off I realized this is a very cool funny bike and also probably too small for my biodiesel motor...the frame is small, almost the size of my Rebel! SO I may need to find another much larger frame or rolling chassis to use for my project. But all is not lost because I really like the Ridley so I may turn her into another art bike in the future. So, if you happen to hear of another bike, frame, or rolling chassis available in my price range (cheap!) please let me know. I feel like it was meant to be that I met you and I look forward to meeting Kathy Tolleson some time in the near future...sorry I missed her on Saturday. I read Hear My Roar...my favorite line is: (Start associating with people who affirm you and build you up instead of tearing you down." Roar is that kind of place and you are the people I need to be around. I have to tell you what a wonderful feeling it was that I wasn't confronted at Roar with a look that said, "you are stupid or crazy", "women aren't supposed to build motorcycles", "you are a waste of our time". Most motorcycle shops are filled with "manholes"! Mostly I have just been plain ignored by people in motorcycle stores...totally...like I was invisible. So, it was very healing to deal with all of you at Roar and I promise you that I'll be back to support you in the future and I'm sending you good energy to keep going in these difficult times...the economy is slowly coming back and it is worth sticking it out for all the women who will need and want a bike in the future. Again thank you for your help, respect, and support. Sincerely, Billie |
