Jacki/Kathy,

I knew once I saw and sat on the ROAR seats that Tim was my seat man!  A lot of other riders in my neck of the woods have had their seats re-vamped and many times have been unhappy with the results.  That was why I had held off for two years and just let the seat sit in my garage.

I also have to tell you that I have been using the Wind Blown cosmetics and skin care products.  Leanne helped me pick out some colors that worked well with my skin tones and they look great.  I originally bought them to take on the road with me, but I am ending up using them everyday.  I will have to get some more on my next trip over to Daytona.  Will you be carrying some larger sizes of the skin care products?

As I tell everyone, ROAR is a real store for lady riders and not just another t-shirt shop.   I just wish there was a ROAR in the Tampa area!

Hi Kathy~
My name is Carolyn I dropped by Saturday on my way to the airport. I was so impressed with your idea and dealership that I can't stop talking about it! I hope you will use my idea for the shirt.
Thank you for your time!

I’m excited about the Windblown products for women. My skin tone is uneven and I find I must wear foundation and powder to even out my skin tone. I have not been able to go without using a liquid foundation and have tried other popular mineral powder makeup brands that I found did not cover like a liquid foundation until I found Windblown. All I have to do is use a small amount of WindBlown concealer around my eyes and on the uneven areas and then apply the mineral powder. It looks so natural and doesn’t feel heavy. It’s fast too. It comes in a convenient tube that has a brush on the end; all you do is pump a little out and brush it on your face. The blush comes the same way. If you're traveling with men you know that you can’t spend too much time putting your makeup on.
As a nurse I know the importance of wearing sun protection on my skin. My skin is oily and using moisturizes with an SPF makes my skin even oilier. Also, when you're riding your motorcycle in summer, the last thing you need is for your face to sweat and have SPF go in your eyes. The Windblown mineral powder has an SPF in it so there is no need to worry.  When you're traveling on a bike you need to travel light. The WindBlown skin care line comes in travel sizes and in a handy case. Just throw it in your saddle bag and you're off. The skin care also feels wonderful on your skin and removes and protects against the road dirt that can cause damage to your skin. I’m so grateful to ROAR for understanding the needs of women who love motorcycles as much as men.

Hi Kathy and Company!

I am forwarding a picture of my new seat which Tim Heart did for me.  Originally, this was the stock seat from my 2006 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob.  I did not like the stock seat for a number of reasons and almost immediately bought another which was only a little better.  This seat sat in my garage for over two years while I looked for the right person to re-vamp it.  It needed to make me lower to the ground, push me forward, be stylish and be comfortable.  It is all of those things now!  I have put over 500 miles on it in the last few weeks and love being able to reach my highway pegs.  Tim also made the seat a little deeper and put in some comfortable memory foam which really makes a difference on those longer rides.

When people now ask me about my seat, I tell them "I found Tim in a lady motorcycle shop!"  After all, who would know better how to make a seat fit a vertically challenged person such as myself.  Thank you again for the wonderful work, fast service and very reasonable price!

Hi,
I saw your booth at the Leesburg Bikefest, and I was so impressed I decided to learn to ride my own motorcycle. I’ve never driven my own bike, I’ve been a passenger for 38 years (since I was 13). I figure 51 is not too old to learn. Before I make the drive over from Tampa, I’d like to know the price range of your starter bikes…the 300 cc or less. And I did see on your website that you have some sort of price guarantee for trade ups.
Thanks in advance…and I love what you all are doing to inspire women riders! --- Patti

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for the photos. By all means, feel free to use my story/email. I meant it when I said your company truly inspires women to grow and learn to ride. Whether I purchase my "starter bike" here in Tampa or through your dealership, know that my first "real bike" will be one of the beautiful   customizations your dealership provides.

Hi Kathy!

Hope all is well.  I love my Black Diamond.  We rode to Cedar Key Sat. with friends and spent the night.   What a difference in comfort riding compared to the Sportster.  I’m so happy with the bike and everyone compliments how beautiful she is.  Of course I tell them it is a Roar bike!

Jacki!

The ladies were very excited about your store and your line of Windblown. I have a list I am getting ready for you of emails, addresses. Thank you soo much for everything you did for us. It was above and beyond.  Also, I have tried your makeup. Wow, I love the lipstick and the way its put together, great for on the go! And that it is not sticky. The mascara is great too, I wear contacts and my eyes tend to be sensitive, but I did not have any trouble. I put it on in the morning when I got here at the store-7am, and one of my coworkers commented that I looked very glowing today what did I do different? That would be Windblown makeup! And I let her try the lipstick and she loved it too!! I have not tried the cleansing kits, but I will this weekend.
I also filled the owner, George in on you guys and he thinks its great!!

Thank you!!!!

I just got off my Road King after my 5500 mile pilgrimage to the Harley 105th!  Yes, I rode my own from Oregon to Milwaukee...and home.  I took with me 3 small samples of the Windblown detangler....here's what I learned....I can live without clean jeans, bras and socks but I cannot live without that product!!  I am completely sold but totally bummed....I can't order it online from you yet!!!  Can you help out a lady rider and help me out!!
My local dealer is Latus Motors and I know you've been in touch with Megon for the garage parties but this rider needs to experience the full line.  Please, I'll do anything....just let me know how I can get my hands on this product and anything else in this line!!

November 2008

The first moment I sat on a ROAR bike, the differences from other stock bikes were immediately apparent. The handlebars were comfortable, my feet easily touched the ground, the seat felt as if it were made just for me, and the bike itself was easily manageable.  After a year of shopping, no other bike had met all of these criteria for my 5’2” frame.  All that was left to do was pick a bike, then I discovered that I could design my own custom bike.  The staff at ROAR helped me create The Black Widow, a one of a kind bike fashioned from the theme of my favorite jacket.

Fern took my black widow theme beyond anything I could have imagined with black widow designs on the tank and both fenders.  Tim “the seat man” continued the theme with a red hourglass overlay on the back of the custom fitted seat. Gary and Kevin helped me choose chrome, pipes, hyper-charger, grips, pegs and led lights.  The entire staff  at ROAR made the experience a one of a kind affair.

I just returned from Arkansas & Texas. Hubby & I had to trailer
our bikes, (due to weather), to our son's in   Arkansas. Then we had
to trailer them, (due to weather), to our niece's in Texas. While in Texas, we were able to hop on the bikes and travel 900 (+) miles,
going thru Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and back to Abilene, Texas. I have to tell you, TIM... I DID NOT HAVE A SORE
BOTTOM OR BACK after riding those 900 (+) miles in two days!!!
I am TOTALLY AMAZED!!! I LOVE MY SEAT!!! By the way, anyone reading this, this is a seat that Tim “The Seat Man” designed to fit me, (and my bottom), without the use of a backrest!! I really never thought I would be able to ride that many miles in a short time and NOT have some aches & pains in my back & bottom!!!
It's an AWESOME seat TIM!!! You are #1 in seats :)
Also between the four days in Arkansas, we were able to get 2 short trips in (due to weather), some beautiful
country was seen everywhere!!!

Looking forward to seeing some more of the United States via our motorcycles!!
THANK YOU TIM!!!! (and the ROAR team)!!!

To everyone at Roar,
How can I begin to thank-you for all that you did to make my dream on Friday come true.  You are all such special     people, and I am so very proud to be a part of the sisterhood now.   I took my new "Lil Roar" for my first ride yesterday,
I'm taking baby steps, but having a ball, and my hope is to drive to see you all soon.  Again I am truly grateful for all you did, and so grateful to have met you all.

P.S. How do you like the name "Lil Roar"?

January 2010

Hi all~

I just came home from the show here in Massachusetts, and while I was there I got to see your bikes at your booth and they blew my mind.

I bought my first Harley last spring and one of the girls at the shop told me about your bikes and your story. Since then I have been following you on your web site and find myself drooling over your bikes. However, I never thought I would be able to even see any of the ROAR bikes.. mainly because of living up in New England and never getting to go down south.

One of the bikes I fell in love with was the "Monarch" and wouldn't you know you would have it  at the show! I sat on it and MAN was it comfy!!  What a gorgeous bike!!!  I truly wish that I had known about your site before I bought my bike. I did do quit a bit of chatting with your staff, and my the way they were the best!!! I am so glad that you are now going to be in New England, so whenever you get things going up here I will bring my bike down there so I can have you all fit it to me. I love the ride… it’s just that it needs something to make it comfy I guess.  I felt the        difference right away on the seat on the "Monarch" when I sat on it, wished it would have fit my Dyna...I might have tried to take it with me  hahahaha. I did get a couple of shirts to wear and spread the news.

Anyway, I couldn't wait to get home and jot out an email to you guys and tell you that seeing your booth, meeting your staff and of course finally seeing your bikes in person was the highlight of my day.

Thanks again

Hello Ladies.....well I just bought "Happy Days" (2006 Yamaha VStar). I'm in Queens, NY and bought it at a Honda Dealer. Went in thinking I was buying a Shadow.....but then I saw HER. Wow!!!!! My knees are gonna be mighty happy in the breeze from now on. Your bikes are absolutely beautiful. Thankfully the lady that owned it before me was just my size. I've never felt so comfortable on a bike before. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Kathy, Jacki, Joan,

We made it home!!!  It was a beautiful ride home on the most beautiful bike ever.  Thank you all for building me this bike and most of all for providing the best bike for ME!!!  I was still a little timid when I tried to do things my old Harley made difficult for me.  Even just stopping at a red light, that most people take for granted, is no longer such a hassle.  The bike fits me and no one but you guys will ever know how much that means.

Fern,
You are a wonderful artist.  The paint is absolutely amazing, it makes the bike a work of art and on my first ride I have already had people ask about the bike and the paint.

I love what you all do and most of all how you make me feel.  The confidence will come back and hopefully a great biker attitude will take its place.  We will be in touch to discuss the LLC program and to ride.  Don’t forget to put me in touch with the lady from St. Petersburg.

You guys are the best,
Kellie

Dear Roar,

Joan, if this message is going to you first....thank you for all your help with the bike I purchased from one of your customers. Please pass my thanks also to Ashley, Ed, and his wife...(can't remember her name darn it!) who helped me load the bike onto my truck. Anyway, it was a great day and I made it back to Miami with the dear old thing and have started to work on her. She is all there but really rough....kinda like me! Anyway, after I took all the bags and windscreen off I realized this is a very cool funny bike and also probably too small for my biodiesel motor...the frame is small,  almost the size of my Rebel! SO I may need to find another much larger frame or rolling chassis to use for my project. But all is not lost because I really like the Ridley so I may turn her into another art bike in the future. So, if you happen to hear of another bike, frame, or rolling chassis available in my price range (cheap!) please let me know.

I feel like it was meant to be that I met you and I look forward to meeting Kathy Tolleson some time in the near future...sorry I missed her on Saturday. I read Hear My Roar...my favorite line is: (Start associating with people who affirm you and build you up instead of tearing you down." Roar is that kind of place and you are the people I need to be around. I have to tell you what a wonderful feeling it was that I wasn't confronted at Roar with a look that said, "you are stupid or crazy", "women aren't supposed to build motorcycles", "you are a waste of our time". Most motorcycle shops are filled with "manholes"! Mostly I have just been plain ignored by people in motorcycle stores...totally...like I was invisible. So, it was very healing to deal with all of you at Roar and I promise you that I'll be back to support you in the future and I'm sending you good energy to keep going in these difficult times...the economy is slowly coming back and it is worth sticking it out for all the women who will need and want a bike in the future. Again thank you for your help, respect, and support.

Sincerely,
Billie
